2. Personal data processed

While browsing the Site, the following categories of data may be processed.

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the Site may automatically collect certain technical data relating to browsing, such as, for example:

  • IP address;

  • type of browser and device used;

  • operating system;

  • date and time of the request;

  • technical information necessary for the operation and security of the Site.

This information is processed to the extent necessary to enable the Site to function properly, to ensure its security and to prevent any unlawful use.

Data provided voluntarily through the contact form

The Site provides a form through which users can contact La Golondrina.

Depending on the fields in the form, the following may be collected:

  • first name and surname;

  • e-mail address;

  • telephone number, where requested;

  • content of the message;

  • any further information spontaneously provided by the user.

Users are asked not to include in their message personal data that are not necessary for the request and, in particular, data belonging to special categories under Article 9 GDPR, unless strictly necessary.

3. Purposes and legal basis of processing

Handling contact requests

Data provided through the contact form or through the addresses published on the Site are used to:

  • respond to the user’s requests;

  • provide information on the activities and services of La Golondrina;

  • handle any requests prior to entering into a contractual relationship.

The legal basis for processing is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject and, in other cases, the legitimate interest of the Controller in managing and responding to the communications received.

Operation and security of the Site

Technical browsing data may be processed to enable the Site to function and to protect its security, integrity and stability.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Controller in the correct and secure management of its website.

Compliance with legal obligations

Personal data may also be processed where necessary to comply with obligations laid down by law, by regulations or by requests from the competent authorities.

In such cases the legal basis for processing is compliance with a legal obligation.

4. Nature of the provision of data

Providing data through the contact form is optional.

However, the data marked as mandatory are necessary to allow La Golondrina to receive and properly handle the request.

Failure to provide such information may therefore make it impossible to respond to the communication.

5. Methods of processing

Personal data are processed mainly by means of IT and telematic tools.

The Controller adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure, alteration or unlawful use.

The data may be processed by personnel authorised by the Controller and by service providers acting on its behalf, where necessary as data processors.

6. Providers and recipients of the data

For the operation of the Site, the Controller uses the following providers, who act as data processors:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States), for hosting and delivering the Site: it processes the technical browsing data necessary for the operation and security of the pages;

  • Vercel Inc., also for the Vercel Web Analytics service, which records visit statistics in aggregate and anonymous form, without cookies and without identifying the individual user (see section 12);

  • Formspree Inc. (United States), for receiving the requests sent through the contact form and forwarding them to amministrazione@lagolondrina.it.

Where necessary, the data may also be processed by or disclosed to:

  • IT and hosting service providers;

  • e-mail service providers;

  • consultants and professionals;

  • public authorities or other parties in the cases provided for by law.

Personal data are not disseminated.

7. Transfer of data outside the European Economic Area

The use of international technology providers, including Vercel and Formspree, may involve the processing of personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Such transfers are carried out in compliance with the conditions laid down by the GDPR and using, where necessary, instruments such as adequacy decisions of the European Commission (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for providers that participate in it) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

Data sent through the contact form are kept for the time necessary to handle and respond to the request.

Where the communication leads to a contractual or commercial relationship, the data may be kept for the period necessary to manage that relationship and thereafter for the periods provided for by applicable law.

Technical browsing data are kept for the period necessary for the technical and security purposes for which they are collected.

9. Rights of the data subject

In the cases provided for by the GDPR, the data subject may exercise the following rights:

  • obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them exist;

  • obtain access to their data;

  • request the rectification of inaccurate data;

  • request the erasure of data;

  • request the restriction of processing;

Cookie Policy

10. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that may be stored on the user’s device while browsing a website.

They may be used, for example, to ensure the technical operation of the site, to store certain preferences or, in other cases, to collect information on how the site is used.

11. Cookies used by the Site

As of the date of the last update, the Site does not install cookies on the user’s device: neither technical cookies, nor analytics cookies, nor profiling cookies. Fonts and images are hosted directly on the Site and are not loaded from third-party services.

For this reason the Site does not display a banner for collecting cookie consent.

Should cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the Site be introduced in the future, they may be used without the user’s prior consent, as they are essential to provide the requested service, and this policy will be updated.

12. Analytics, advertising and profiling cookies

The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics to learn, in aggregate form, the number of visits, the pages viewed, the referring site, the country and the type of device. The service does not use cookies, does not store information on the user’s device and does not make it possible to identify the individual visitor or to track them on other sites. The statistics are used solely to improve the content of the Site.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the Controller in knowing, in anonymous form, how its website is used.

The Site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other profiling or behavioural advertising tools, nor cookies for the purpose of advertising profiling of the user.

Should analytics, marketing, advertising or tracking tools that are not strictly necessary be introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, such tools will be activated only after the user’s consent.

13. Contact form

The Site contains a contact form through which the user can send communications to La Golondrina.

Requests sent through the form are received by the Formspree service, which stores them in its archive and forwards them to amministrazione@lagolondrina.it. To protect the form from automated submissions (spam), technical control features may be used, which do not involve the installation of profiling cookies.

The personal data entered by the user are processed as set out in the Privacy Policy section of this policy.

14. Links to social networks and external services

The Site may contain links to external platforms, including social networks and online map services such as Google Maps.

These are simple external links and such services are not embedded directly in the pages of the Site.

Merely loading the pages of the Site therefore does not, as a result of such links, cause cookies to be installed by the external platforms.

When the user decides to click on one of these links, they are taken to the website of the relevant provider, which may process personal data or use cookies in accordance with its own privacy and cookie policy.

La Golondrina does not control the processing methods adopted by such third parties.

15. Managing cookies

Users can configure their browser to:

  • refuse certain cookies;

  • delete cookies already present on the device;

  • receive a notification before new cookies are installed.

Disabling technical cookies may, however, compromise the proper functioning of some parts of the Site.

Since the Site currently does not install cookies, there is no preference management system. Should one be introduced, users will be able to change their choices at any time through the dedicated control available on the Site.

16. External links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites.

La Golondrina is not responsible for the content, security or data processing methods adopted by such sites.

Before providing personal data to an external site, you are advised to consult its privacy policy.

17. Changes to this policy

This Privacy & Cookie Policy may be amended or updated over time, including as a result of:

  • regulatory changes;

  • the introduction of new features on the Site;

  • the use of new services or providers;

  • changes to the methods of processing data.

The updated version will be published on this page, indicating the date of the last update.
